OSHA Record Keeping Reminder

Diane Lustenader, president of Lake Associates Inc., reminds MHEDA members to close out your OSHA 300 Accident and Injury Log for 2010. Be sure to complete reports for every accident or illness on your log and prepare an annual summary. The summary should be signed by the company’s top executive or highest-ranking person at the facility and must be posted in a conspicuous area from February 1 through April 30. The injury logs don’t have to be posted, only the summary of them. Both the summary and the logs must be saved for 5 years. A link to OSHA’s website and the necessary forms can be found here.
