Indianapolis, IN — Bastian Material Handling formed a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to better serve the growing number of distribution and manufacturing markets throughout South America. “In recent years, Brazil has become one of the stronger world markets driven by its population and growing consumer base,” said Bill Bastian II, president of Bastian Material Handling. “With this growth, there is a need for distribution and manufacturing automation, which makes it an ideal location for our fourth international office.”
In conjunction with opening the new office, Bastian has hired three initial employees and will hire an additional five from the Sao Paulo region—including an administrative manager, an additional field sales engineer, and a small manufacturing team. Guillermo Albaladejo (pictured), will serve as general manager.
