Spokane, WA — Caterpillar Logistics Services plans to open a new parts distribution center in Spokane, WA. The new facility will replace the existing 125,000 sq. ft. facility and will span more than 500,000 sq. ft. The facility is part of the North American multi-year expansion and enhancement of the global Cat Parts distribution network. “The Spokane parts distribution center makes us even stronger in North America by providing capacity for growth in parts demand while further optimizing the service parts supply chain,” says Steve Larson, vice president of Caterpillar Inc. and chairman and president of Cat Logistics. Construction on the facility is expected to begin in the summer of 2011.
