TMHU Unveils North American National Headquarters
Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) unveiled the company’s new North American headquarters in Columbus, Ind. The ceremony marks the final stage of a strategic initiative to align TMHU’s sales and marketing team with its manufacturing plant Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg., Inc. (TIEM). The new North American headquarters represents a $4.6 million dollar investment, adding 21,400 square feet to the Toyota campus, which includes the manufacturing facility and national headquarters.

Mike Winemiller Named CEO of Briggs International
_milestones_winemillerAfter the retirement of Sammons Enterprises and Briggs International CEO Dave Bratton, Briggs International President Mike Winemiller assumed the role of CEO of Briggs International on January l. In this position, Winemiller is responsible for the strategic growth and profitability of the global Briggs brand. Winemiller joined the Equipment Group at Briggs Weaver in June 1983, as part of Briggs’ management training program. He was promoted to President of Briggs International in 2012.

UNEX Launches New Website
UNEX Manufacturing launched a brand-new website (UNEX.com) in conjunction with its 50th anniversary. The company has developed a new logo and approach to engaging current and prospective customers. The new website features extensive photo and video galleries, and allows users to dynamically search for UNEX solutions via specific industries.

Raymond Appoints New Positions to Support Growth
To support the current and future growth of The Raymond Corporation, there have been multiple new appointments in the organization. Lou Callea was appointed as vice president and general counsel; Erric Heitmann was named vice president, engineering; Dan Klassen was appointed vice president, quality and program management, Gary Kirchner was named vice president of sales, and Dave Norton was named vice president, customer solutions.

Hannibal Industries Acquires New Stockton Warehouse
Hannibal Industries relocated its Stockton, CA, warehouse to a new 34,000-square-foot facility that will house the company’s products and enable Hannibal to improve throughput and customer service while expanding the company’s Quick Ship program, which ships Hannibal’s frames, beams and accessory orders within 72 hours.

PeakLogix Sponsors Lego League Robotics Team
PeakLogix sponsored a group of fourth grade students from JB Watkins Elementary School to participate in the first Lego League Robotics competition. The team, called the “Sharknado Chasers,” was treated to a hands-on learning activity when PeakLogix invited them to the PeakLogix headquarters in Midlothian, VA, where the team built its robot.

Partnerships, Acquisitions and Expansions
• As part of its continuing growth plans, Cubic Designs was acquired by MiTek Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway company. The entire management team and employee group will remain in place.
• Generac Holdings Inc. acquired all of the assets of Baldor Electric Co.’s Generator Products Division in Oshkosh, WI.
• First Financial Corporate Services, Inc. expanded into Canada and formed FF Canadian Leasing, Inc. (FFCU)
• FloStor Engineering partnered with topVOX Corporation, a voice recognition hardware and software supplier. FloStor will utilize the technology in their manufacturing and distribution of automated systems.
